Original owner ordered this truck during WWII but the order was not filled until after the war. He delivered bulk feed to dairy farms in NE PA with this truck. When he retired, his brother used it as a hay truck on the family farm. When he quit farming (early 1970's), our family acquired it for haying on our farm. It was the source of many young boys first driving experience. Until you could pickup a bale of hay and toss it onto the bed, you were a "truck driver" - just put it in low gear, ease out the clutch, and steer around the field from bale to bale. It was the only time a boy didn't want to graduate to the next level! After we acquired a baler with a kicker, and several haywagons, this truck lost its job. I last drove it and parked it in a barn just prior to my wedding in Sept. 1984 where it has remained since. The truck has seen a lot of wear prior to its storage, but was well maintained through its delivery life and was generally kept inside during the bulk of the year. Despite less than ideal maintenance, particularly when it was in my family's possession, it is in reasonably good shape. It seems to be a worthy candidate for restoration if, and when, I can get it unloaded of all the crap I have stored on it, and maneuvered out of the barn!
