This truck is from a batch built with a steel Serial Number tag, and this tag was rusted beyond readability. The frame was also rusted, and one number was very hard to read even after cleaning with a wire brush. Using the Body Tag and what numbers could be read off the frame this truck was identified correctly, but the model number is unknown. The choice of WH-47 is just a guess, it may be any number of WH or WG models. Note the single upper screw headlight trim, and the lack of the lower 8 stainless bars. Later 1942 trucks did not seem to get the lower stainless trim.
