Truck has been entirely restored. Not a frame-off but pretty well.
The United States was drawn into World War II on December 7, 1941, shortly after Dodge's 1942 models were introduced. The order was given in mid December 1942 to stop production of civilian vehicles 60 days after the declaration of war on Japan. The order went into effect on February 10, 1942, and work was started to convert assembly plants for producing war materiel.
Therefore automobile manufacturers had 41 days of 1942 to manufacture and sell civilian vehicles - manufacturing being banned after February 10, 1942. Civilian sales past that date was limited to manufacturer and dealer stock.
