| This truck was found in Shamrock, Texas in August, 2001. The original owner purchased it in Western Oklahoma and used it for farming until 1984 when it was parked. The second owner never got started on the restoration and sold it to me for scrap metal value. During engine teardown, enough sludge was removed from the oil pan to make a softball, and the water jacket had sand in it up to the top freeze plugs. The engine was re-fired in 2004 and driven occasionally until 2008 when it went through a fuel line failure that led to a mishap with a tow truck that resulted in a busted steering box bracket. |
