My parents bought this truck for me in 1978 for my 15th birthday. It was sitting beside an old barn and the bed was filled with old corn cobs, mattresses, and rats. The license tags on it were from 1970. It was in very bad shape. I spent several years working on it, learning as I went. I drove it in high school and many years afterwards. I am currently re-restoring it, as there are a number of things I can improve on from my original restoration. According to the build card, the truck was delivered to Laurinburg, NC. At some point I think it was used by the city of Greenwood, SC as it had Greenwood City Shop painted on the passenger door. Sometime after that it received a poor quality green paint job, as the paint was peeling off the interior and you could see the raised lettering under the paint on the door.
