I purchased this 1952 Dodge B-3-B 108 high-side pickup in June 2014 on Ebay as a project for myself from a couple in West Chester, PA. The seller said they got it in trade at their antique shop from the original owner who was a plumber and that he had driven it as his business vehicle. The original owner said he purchased it new from a dealer in early 1953 in West Chester, PA. The seller said the engine had been replaced with a new valve job in 1996 and then he drove it around on his farm for about 10 years. It has been parked in a buidling and outside since they last drove it around 7 years ago. The current engine serial number T306*102750* shows it to be a 1951-1953 B-3-B or B-4-B model engine. The engine head casting date of 9/28/53 combined with the engine casting date of 5/23/52 could indicate that this engine is out of a 1953 Dodge B-4-B model pilothouse pickup. So far I have only replaced the Regulator, Distributor, spark plugs / wires, fuel and oil filters. I have also totally rebuilt the Carter D6A2 B&B Carburetor. So the engine does run now but I need to repair the fuel tank which is currently not providing any fuel to the fuel line. Cab floor is totaly rusted out and I have replacement floor pans and some other body metal parts from Dodge Central of Michigan that I will have welded in or bolted once the frame is finished. Currently in the break down and assesment phase of the restoration.
