| Truck is a Custom Cab with stainless steel grill moldings, passenger side tail light and cartridge-type oil filter. Truck was built in the San Leandro, California plant, build number 3730. |
| As of September 2011, engine is now a 230 cid (T338*91276*) from a 1955 (Serial No. 81488959) 1 ton (C-3-D6-116) that belongs to a friend. It has been bored .060 over and has a "mild" RV cam. Additionally, during 2002-3 restoration, a 6V altenator was installed and the truck was converted to negative ground. At some point in the past, the factory-standard 16" wheels were replaced with 15's. I've put 16" wheels on the back with tall tires to gain a little speed. Next year I will convert the truck to 12V and install an air conditioner. I am the 4th owner and the woman I purchased the truck from lived across the street from the original owners as a young girl. The truck was delivered on September 5, 1950 by Braley Dodge in Stockton, California. |
