Truck was bought on Craigs List in March of 2011 and came on a trailer to my barn . For almost two years to the date took its first drive . We did a frame off restoration but didn't restore the frame. The motor was shot so we used a running motor from a 1949 B 1 D . Rebuilt brakes, carb, generator, fuel pump, distributor, flushed and sealed gas tank , replace all fuel lines as well as brake lines. Rebuilt emergency brake, re built and restored all gauges . replaced interior with a kit restored the seat , all new cotton core wire,converted original tail light to a Stop, And turn signal by adding another socket, converted the park lights up front to blinkers. removed after market blinkers on fenders. Match the paint to the inside of the door panel and painted the rims to as close as we could get to the orginal yellow. replaced all the glass . Bed is now yellow pine treated with black enamel wiped off and sealed, Went with stainless runners . Other than a bad fuel gauge runs great at its top speed of 45 mph down the road .
