I found this 1960 W300 on my way home from Texas summer of 2008, it was sitting in a very small town in the southeast corner of Colorado right on the Oklahoma border. I was not able to tract down the owner at that time. I was able to tract down the owner via phone after I got back home. It took me almost one year, but I was able to purchase the truck from him.
The history I have on the truck is, it was on a air force base when new,, when on the base it had a utility box on it, after it left the base the utility box was taken off, and a flatbed with PTO winch & poles was built for the truck. The truck was not used much after that, and has pretty much sat for the better part of the last 25 years. Shows 26,000 miles on the odometer, judging by how well it runs and drives I would have to say that they are original.
