No motor, some rot in the usual places but the sheetmetal is all straight,
glass is all good, all crome trim and lenses are good. Make me an offer.
kavfam@prodigy.net66 townwagon 4 sale off 61-71 list
It was a 318 4 spd truck no motor in it currently. Front floors are
gone, rear quarters are in need of major help. Front fenders are just
starting to go in front of the doors. Passenger door has a hole on the
bottom inside of it. All glass and badges and lites are there and in excellent
shape. It has a sticker from CA in it. It has no seats in it, but it has
the original roof rack on it. It also has the original headliner in it!
They have had it in their family for years. The motor and tranny were
donor's to a PW.

1965 Town Wagon |

Acquired this 65 Town Wagon right before the old home I am now busy restoring.
It is 2wd, has a 318 motor, auto tranny and runs when the nut doesn't
back off the new ignition switch the previous owner installed. It says
"Atomic Energy Commission" on the doors and I have repaired the passenger
rear quarter(primer now). It is a good truck and needs a good home. I
am a motivated seller as winter is coming in Indiana and I do not have
time to knit a blanket to cover it... It is worthy of someone's attention
and is a blast to drive. I would be happy to answer any questions e-mailed
to me and would entertain offers for sale. I am thinking $500. but most
things in life are negotiable. I am in Nashville, Indiana. Contact Tricia

rusted, body is "bondo buggie", frame has damage, ran like crap.
It's a $500 project Townie. But very interesting guy - Charles Cullen,

1955 Town Panel |
July 10 2000 |
|
I'm selling my '55 series 2 T/Panel. It has less than 60 thousand original
miles and is all original. The only thing missing is 1 wiper, the gas
cap and the "Job Rated" badges. The Town Panel badges are still there
and in fair condition. It's a V-8 Three on the tree. All good glass, gauges,
etc. The only problem is rust. The rear mounts are poor, the rear 1/4's
need reworked, as does the rear wheelhouses. The doors are in pretty good
shape (all 4) and all the hardware is intact on the rear doors. This was
a garage kept unit until '87, when the guy I bought it from, bought it
from the original owners widow. It had been parked since 1963. Unfortunately,
it sat next to his barn, in the high grass, until I bought it 2 or 3 years
ago. Since then it has been in my back yard. It needs a front clip (fenders
and front fascia), but the hood is good. It's definately restorable, but
I just don't have the time or the money. I wouldn't be selling if I didn't
need the money to buy tools for a new handyman business I'm starting.
The first person to hand me $500.00 gets it. No, I don't have pics, It's
worth more than the asking price in parts, easily. No, I won't part it
out. It's all there, bumpers, lenses, hubcaps, etc. The price is firm,
or will consider a work truck as a trade. (Mopar pick up, van or T/P)
I also have 2 brand new NOS taillight lenses, 2 NOS front turnsignal lenses
(all in boxes), 1954-56 Truck parts list for Dodge and Fargo, and the
c-3 series shop manual. These all go with the truck. John Dougherty Johnsonburg,

Has front seats (sort of). He says it has a 383ci but my sons say
it's a Poly 318 in pieces with no transmission. He says it has a
4.10 rearend. It needs full restoration but seems to be largely
there.
Details from Tom posted on Jan 28 2000. It's got only one seat,
no transmission, an incomplete 318 ci engine(not a 383), but the
body looks good and the glass and rubber window gaskets look pretty
good too. Offered $750 for it but the guy says his brother wants

Bill Wheeler from Yakima, Wa. still has his TW's for sale. The
'63 TWPW is an ex-Coast Guard truck. 318 poly, 3 on tree, 4.10 gears,
factory tach, 6 passenger confiq & completely stock. Runs and drives
good. running gear / chassis seem very sound. Now the bad news....
all the dark, stained or or rust looking spots... are. severe thru
rust on body, fenders, wheel wells, door edges, body mounts, & floors.
I've never seen anything rusted so bad that looked so good. This
truck was definitely was stationed on the salt. $1500... The '65
TW D 100 is an ex forest service truck. Contrary to the pic of body
/ chassis, this is a complete truck, and more... This truck has
very little rust. the worst seemed to be the floor pans, but I think
easily salvaged. Was going to do a body swap on the TWPW, but decided
had too many projects. Have acculmulated extra TW parts to replace
any banged up parts on the TW D100. comes with 318 poly & 4 psd,
factory power steering, original mirrors, extra rear doors, window
frames, glass, and new side window rubber, and several other extra
misc. parts. All sheet metal in good shape with exception of passenger
door banged up. minor body work req'd on body, but minimal rust.
Want $700. Take $2000 for the both trucks with all parts. This would
be a great resto project!
Details from Jan 5 2000 ad: Also have spare front and rear axles,
transfers and misc. parts....heaters..doors..ect. Call 509-6532864

I am selling my TW that I have had for 26 years. I am in Spokane, Washington.
My truck is in excellent condition. It has been my hobby for 26 years
and it is 95% complete. It has a 318 poly with about 50,000 miles; rebuilt
heads and new valves with hard seats, with about 9,000 miles. It has 298,000
miles on the original odometer, but I'm running 15 inch wheels, so that
reading is high. It has a tight four speed manual transmission. It has
excellent body and paint, all rust cut out and a 1996 Dodge "Emerald Green
Pearl" paint job, with clearcoat. The body and paint cost me $2,000. It
has excellent tires, shocks, brakes, clutch, driveline, springs, interior,
etc. I have a lot of spare parts, including starwheels, complete door
latch assemblies, window rubber, seats, spare tire bracket, radiator etc.,
I am asking $3,900. Phone inquiries will be taken most seriously. 509-624-4337
(I also have a 1961 TW parts truck that I will give away to the first
taker. It has good floorboard and stepwells, one good door, one fixable
fender, ok hood, auto transmission, most of a 318 which needs rebuilding, dented
back doors, etc.) Bernie O'Brien Obrien8462@aol.com

Truck is driven daily in WI year round, but it is not yet rusting
to badly. There is rust. It has one original rear seat. The TW has
an original winch. The truck was white and has patches of primer
on it where they had covered the rust spots. They had broken the
transfercase on this truck once it had been fixed, and then broke
again while using the winch. The owner E-mailed me and told me the
truck was now brown.

1966 Town Wagon |

66 Dodge Town Wagon. Body good and near complete. Motor in need
of restoration. Can send pictures. $900.00 Location: Mesquite, Texas
Contact Tony Durant TDD518096@aol.com Phone #1-800-330-1783
Owner was asking $1,600 and said the automatic transmission was
recently rebuilt. Good sound truck, is in excellent condition to
rebuild.
Notes from Larry who checked out the truck:
I met up with Tony, the owner of the '66 TW for sale here in Dallas.
Real nice guy. I took 24 pics of the TW from every angle, under
the hood, and all the critical rust prone areas. Sorry, but I had
to use a 35mm camera, the film was dropped off Thurs. for digitizing
in JPEG. Usually takes 3-4 days. The truck has been sitting outside
for two years and does not run. The engine year is unknown, late
318ci.(not a poly). The motor looks to be all complete, and the
install looks good. It has a 3 speed on the column and later 5-lug
wheels, decent radial tires, and chrome baby moon center caps. It
is faded banana yellow in color (paint looks like it would rub out
OK), the body overall is straight, with no obvious signs of bondo
or former repairs. The front end sheet metal looks excellent, and
the head- lamps and grille are also in good condition. The hood
emblems are all there. The Dodge emblem on the right rear door looks
to be from a later truck. All the rear sliding glass has been converted
to solid one piece windows. They are all there, but several are
cracked. All of the original sliding window channels and associated
hardware are gone. Rust is beginning to come through above both
rear wheel wells (same as most I've seen) and will need to be cut
out & patched (left side about 10"-12", Right side about 3"). Rear
doors are straight and are just beginning to show a tiny bit of
rust on the inside at the bottom. In my opinion they will not require
patching if they are attended to soon. Same with the driver and
pass- enger doors, straight outside w/no apparent rust, but just
a hint shows on the insides at the bottom. Again, repairable without
metal patches in my opinion. The lower rear valance, ( sheet metal
piece behind the rear bumper) is damaged but repairable, and is
really the only place on the truck that isn't straight. The rear
bumper is correct and in decent shape. The front bumper is not correct,
and appears to be from an early fifties truck of unknown make. It
is straight though, and is probably salable or tradable. The windshield
is good w/no major scratches or chips. It has an AMC steering wheel(UUGHH!)
and aftermarket cheapie gauges. The front seats are correct (recovered)
and in fair shape. The rear seat is a bench seat from an unknown
car. There is no third seat. No inside spare tire mount. None of
the headliner remains. Now for the bad news, The front floors are
rusty, and show numerous sheet metal and roofing tar patches. The
front cab mounts are also showing some cancer, however, I believe
they could also be repaired with some small welded in patches, instead
of a complete replacement. The step wells are good, and show no
signs of cancer. And, the last, and worst news. A previous owner
installed a crank-open roof vent just behind the front seats. Looks
like the source of the leak which caused the floors to rust In my
opinion, the truck is worth $500.00 to $800.00 tops. And if you
play your cards right, you can probably buy it for an offer somewhere
in that range.
