Russ had this to say about his truck:

I've done a few things like put in a brake valve between the front disk and rear drum brakes, and a little rewiring. But the most significant thing I've done is to completely replace the bed wood. I also replaced the bed angles and the bed strips. Got the metal parts from Mar-K and did the wood myself using purple heart. My '57 W-100 has been updated (bastardized?) with 1980 axles. They are 8-bolt and the guy I bought the truck from said they were 1-ton. But of course, he didn't do anything with the springs and even used the original drive shaft. So I've got my work cut out for me to get it where I want it. My truck has a 315 Poly in it. So here are a few pictures.
